Ok, so let me just tell you guys how LONG I've been searching for a foundation that matches my complexion. I'm quite fair skinned and I've tried tons of products--ranging from drug store to high end.
I've tried out all the raved foundations and most of them-even their fairest shade- was too dark for me :-(
So after feeling hopeless and about to give up, I was (naturally) browsing through a Sephora and I usually don't really look through much Stila products but this one foundation caught my eye. Maybe it was a sign that this was where my search stops. After the first swatch, holy crap. I think I teared a little bit because it was the PERFECT shade and the formula itself was amazing!!
I have dry skin and get dry patches here and there. I really wanted to love the Givenchy Eclat Matissime but unfortunately, it enhanced my dry patches and it just didn't work out for me.
But this baby right here, the Stila Perfect & Correct Foundation ($44), tops all of the foundations I've tried. Especially if you have dry skin and a fair complexion, I think this will be perfect for you.
Not only does this foundation match my skin tone but also is "swirled with an advanced moisturizing primer that provides nourishing benefits throughout the day." Does that not sound convincing?? It freaking does.
The foundation also says that it "contains potent antioxidants, a multi mineral complex and skin soothing chamomile" and is "high definition, high performance and long lasting."
It claims to:
-help diminish the look of fine line and wrinkles
-helps minimize pores
-helps hydrate and balance
-helps control oil
and GIRL-- lemme tell you, honest to blog, it freaking does ALL of that. I don't think I've ever been this impressed with a product before.
I think the foundation is very lightweight, moisturizing without being greasy or dewy looking, and really easy to blend. However, it is a light to medium coverage, so if you're looking for full coverage, I don't think this would be for you.
My only complaint is that I've had this foundation since March? or the beginning of April and I've already used up a ton. I don't know if I'm just using a lot of foundation? (I use a pump of it everyday and dot it all across my face then blend with a flat top kabuki brush) but yeah, I wish it didn't run out as fast because it is quite pricey!!
But I know for sure, this is going to be my main, everyday foundation. Until I find a better product (if it even exists), I will be continuing to use this foundation because it meets my every need.
