These items were actually supposed to be my November Favorites but I was just so caught up with finals and work that I never really had time to wrap up a blog post (I've missed you guys!)
(and the weather has been extremely gloomy the past few weeks, it was hard for me to take pictures in good natural lighting)
But finally, the semesters over--which means more blog posts :-)
I will also be posting an end of the year favorites (which is basically going through all of the beauty products I have accumulated throughout the year) and giving my opinion (good and bad) on the most hyped, most disappointing and newly found holy grail products.
1. Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Primer ($32)
Bought this product on a whim bc I thought the packaging was pretty cute LOL. It actually works really well though. It makes my skin look more radiant and healthy--almost adds a lit from within glow (not shimmery but you look more alert and awake). Plus, it does some coverage of the pores but I still put on another primer if I feel that I need more coverage. Smells freaking amazing--if you're a fan of coconut, you're gonna love this.
2. Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer ($26.50)
I had a sample from Sephora so I used it during my trip to LA and .......oh my glob. It was love at first application. This was exactly what I was looking for in a moisturizer: lightweight, hydrating and fresh. I love my Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer but it tends to feel heavy and kind of greasy sometimes. But this product just won my heart. If you have normal to dry skin, you should definitely give this a try.
3. Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb (price varies on size)
Another classic and well known scent. I'm pretty sure almost everyone grows to love this scent. I used my point perks on Sephora and got the travel size version of this and I must say....I never go a day without using this perfume. It's feminine yet mature--not those bubble gum girly scents but it reminds me of a sophisticated sexy business woman LOL I'm planning to buy a full size version of this when I run out of my travel size because I love this scent so much. I, too, want to be a sophisticated sexy business woman.
4. Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil ($48)
Works to hydrate and replenish skin, hair and nails. I have damaged and color treated hair so I apply this oil at night to help repair the ends of my hair and it works pretty well in keeping my hair hydrated and moisturized. My hair isn't as dried out as it used to be. This product isn't a miracle worker though. It's okay but not praise worthy.
5. Givenchy Noir Couture Volume Mascara ($32)
LOVE the packaging. Very Givenchy. The brush for the mascara works pretty well too, it separates and fully covers each lash. The formula isn't that amazing but it does it's job. I just really love the packaging.
6. MUFE Smoky Extravagant Mascara ($24)
Got this mini mascara in a VIB rouge birthday gift from Sephora. REALLY impressed with this mascara. Gives you a very full lash look and doesn't clump. The packaging and brush looks mediocre but the formula of this mascara is amazing!
7. Revlon Super Lustruous Lipstick in Black Cherry ($6)
Who says that you have to buy high end lipsticks to look good? Bought this on a whim when I was at my local drugstore picking up some necessities. I was kind of worried about how it would look like since the packaging is sealed and you can't test beauty products (or any product) in a drug store. Bought it anyway. Looks good. Should buy lip liner for easier application. Nah, won't do that. Looks good anyway. Would recommend for vampy look. -The End-
8. Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Cream ($9)
It took me a while to actually come to like this product because the consistency of this hand cream is freakin' thick af and feels oily/greasy when you first apply it. However, you'll get used to it. It does the job really well; fully moisturizes your hands and dries off to a nice soft finish. And it's 100% natural :-)
9. One Teaspoon Awesome Baggies ($150)
One Teaspoon denim products are worth the splurge. I can say that I am so fuckin' happy with my purchase :-) I bought size 25 jeans because they are my usual size but ever since my weight gain, I had to size up to a size 26. Still looks hella good so fuck it ;-)
If you're looking for a baggy look, I would say go up one size but if you want the slightly loose yet fitting look, stick to your true size.
10. Dr. Martens 1460 Boots ($125)
A classic staple piece. Goes with anything and everything--and even if it doesn't, who the fuck cares ya gotta make it look good :-) I had these for a while but they finally started to look good and beat up. Definitely looks better beat up and worn to death (IMO) and breaking these babies in takes a good while. Its painful but its all worth it in the end. Get yoself a pair right NOW.
11. Forever 21 Plaid Scarf ($10) -- looks like this one is sold out!!
I'm actually quite impressed with the quality of this scarf because:
1) it was supa inexpensive
2) it is incredibly soft
3) it is extremely warm!!!
4) I'm so impressed that I don't even use my Zara scarf anymore (which was way pricier and not as good in quality)
10/10 would recommend.
